A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION COMMENDING MR. JAMES WEEKS ON BEING SELECTED THE 1998 STATE VETERANS AFFAIRS BOARD EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR.

WHEREAS, Mr. James Weeks has been selected as the 1998 State Veterans Affairs Board Employee of the Year; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Weeks has been employed as the Light Vehicle Operator at the Kosciusko State Veterans Home since 1997, demonstrating outstanding dedication to his work and the veterans he serves; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Weeks, a generous and caring man, takes a personal interest in the welfare of the veterans he transports and strives to ensure that their needs are met; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Weeks makes sure the veterans receive meals while they are away from home, ensures that they are clean and spends quality time with them letting them know their concerns are important to him; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of this Legislature to commend such a remarkable individual as Mr. James Weeks, whose job performance, attitude and concern for fellow veterans provide an outstanding example for others to follow:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE SENATE CONCURRING THEREIN, That we do hereby commend and congratulate Mr. James Weeks on being selected the 1998 State Veterans Affairs Board Employee of the Year and extend our deepest appreciation for his services.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Mr. James Weeks and the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
